What are the responsibilities and job description for the Respiratory Therapist position at Memorial Hospital of Converse County?
Responsible for daily patient assignments and work performed on each assigned shift. Performs a variety of cardiopulmonary therapeutic procedures in the treatment and diagnosis of patients with respiratory and cardiac problems. Performs all assigned therapeutic and diagnostic procedures as ordered by a physician including, but not limited to: Oxygen therapy including daily oxygen rounds, pulse oximetry monitoring to determine oxygen titration needs. Bronchodilator therapy including protocols and patient assessment. Must be able to set up, manage monitor and trouble shoot all aspects of running an invasive and noninvasive ventilator. Provide therapeutic and diagnostic procedures in the nursery including, but not limited to oxygen hood, nasal CPAP and ventilator management. Performs spirometry and stress testing. Performs EKG, holter and event monitoring. Performs other duties as assigned.
