A Day in the Life of a Director of Medical Imaging
The Medical Imaging Director provides management for Cheyenne Regional Medical Center's Medical Imaging services and ensures delivery of radiology technical operations and local administrative functions. Utilizes professional judgment, knowledge and leadership to develop new methods, educate others, improve systems and demonstrate responsibility for administrative duties in Medical Imaging. Collaborates with all members of the healthcare team to provide quality service and satisfaction to our customers. Manages and directs the department personnel, resources and activities.

Here is What You Will Be Doing:
- Oversees departmental services and care in accordance with the standards established by CRMC Medical Imaging Service, the Radiation Safety Committee, and all other applicable regulatory agencies.
- Provides personnel management of assigned direct reports.
- Establishes the functions and qualifications for departmental personnel; delegates responsibility and authority as appropriate.
- Maintains an orientation and on-going educational program for the department.
- Oversees Process Improvements relating to service, staffing, operations, and expansion. Develops and implements short, intermediate and long term goals and objectives for department planning.
- Develops, implements, monitors and evaluates a departmental quality management program in accordance with the goals of CRMC’s quality management program.
- Maintains responsibility for departmental and patient records.
- Collaborates with Vice President of Nursing in nursing related issues. Collaborates with radiologists to ensure appropriate care is given within the department. Acts as liaison as necessary between physicians and department, and between department and administration.
- Prepares departmental budgets and monitors departmental performance in regards to financial and staff utilization and productivity. Recommends, develops and implements the acquisition of capital equipment, space and other resources as necessary.
- Plans, develops and participates in community service/education activities in accordance with the department’s role and CRMC’s goals and objectives. Plans, develops and makes recommendations for marketing strategies specific to the department, in accordance with CRMC’s marketing plan and goals.
- Provides operational leadership and has budget responsibilities. Adheres to established leadership competencies, service standards and reinforces excellence in those standards with subordinates.

Here is What You Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Radiology or Healthcare
- Graduate of AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology or other radiology specific modality
- Licensed by the Wyoming State Board of Radiologic Technicians
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Five (5) or more years of healthcare related management experience
Nice to Have:
- Master’s Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration or related field
