A Day in the Life of a Security Officer :
Security Officers provide direct security and related public services to Cheyenne Regional. This position routinely serves as a visible deterrence and intervenes in crisis situations when needed.

Here Is What You Will Be Doing :
- Provides a visible deterrence to crime, prohibited activities, or suspicious activities in both public and non-public areas of the organization.
- Responds quickly and effectively to emergency and non-emergency situations.
- Identifies individuals experiencing emotional distress and / or not properly processing information. Is supportive or directive as required by situation.
- Intervenes verbally and / or physically during crisis.
- Escorts and assists patients, visitors, and staff.
- Remains alert and vigilant for activities which could result in injury.
- Executes written and verbal instructions.
- Writes accurate, clear, and legible reports.
- Remains informed on current layout of all organizational locations.
- Rounds on units / departments and other locations as scheduled or necessary.
