JOB SUMMARY
-
Possess skills to operate MRI and/or CT equipment and all equipment associated with the scanner. Performs a variety of imaging procedures, including CT and/or MRI procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in PI activities. Provides quality diagnostic images as ordered by physician. Utilizes clinical and educational scientific principles to focus on achieving the maximal health potential of the patient through planned care. Collaborates with other healthcare providers to evaluate the outcomes of patient care. This position may also work in the roles of Mammography Technologist, Radiologic Technologist or CT Technologist.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
-
Graduate of recognized program in radiologic technology. Current licensure by the Wyoming Board of Radiologic Technologists and registration by ARRT required with certification in magnetic resonance from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. BLS certification required.

Job Knowledge and Skills:-
Ability to lift, move and position patients. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Must have one year radiologic/imaging experience. CT experience preferred when cross training in MRI. Must demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, human pathology, pathology, pharmacology and medical terminology. Must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and magnetic resonance technique. Must possess use and maintain knowledge about magnetic protection and safety.
