What are the responsibilities and job description for the Oncology Coordinator (LPN) | Oncology & Hematology position at Memorial Hospital of Union County?
WHAT YOU’LL DO
M-F, 80 hours/pay period (bi-weekly)
- Facilitate Patient Care:
- Pre-certify treatments for outpatient therapy, ensuring coverage and promoting patient safety.
- Schedule treatments, coordinating effectively with patients, nursing staff, and pharmacy.
- Collaborate in Care Delivery:
- Perform delegated nursing functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, adhering to established procedures and standards.
- Document and report patient care observations accurately and within established timeframes.
- Provide patient education as directed and observed by the Registered Nurse.
- Support Operational Excellence:
- Identify opportunities for clinical or operational improvements and participate in performance enhancement activities.
- Demonstrate accountability by adhering to ethical and compliance standards.
- Respond and Adapt:
- Address emergencies outside normal working hours.
- Maintain regular attendance and participate in mandatory training and health requirements.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Licensure & Certification:
- Current LPN license in the State of Ohio.
- Certified in IV therapy.
- Maintain continuous AHA BLS certification.
- Professional Development:
- Complete 24 contact hours of approved continuing education (CE) every two years in line with Ohio Board of Nursing requirements.
- Core Competencies:
- Commit to high standards of care and professional practice within your scope of licensure.
