What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN/Clinical Educator position at Memorial Hospital?
Job Description:
- The Clinical Educator is a registered nurse who is committed to assuming responsibility in the area of education development, implementation, and evaluation for the floor nursing areas (ER, OB, ICU, OR, Med/Surg)
- The Clinical Educator will work with staff to improve clinical care including assessing and intervening in complex health care problems to improve and to promote healthcare outcomes
- Coordinates with members of the leadership team to implement teaching/learning methods consistent with instructional aims and learner needs
- Collaborates with the leadership team and staff nurses to develop, implement, and evaluate educational programming that promotes excellence in evidence-based proactive and quality performance
- Coordinates and implements educational programs consistent with the needs and requirements within the clinical area
Job Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor degree preferred
- Current Indiana RN license
- Proven experience in clinical nursing, nursing education, and quality improvement, required
FTE: .9 (72 hrs/bi-weekly) Days (6a-6p)
