A hospital in California is looking for an experienced Telemetry nurse for a travel contract.
The right candidate will have 3 full years of experience.
Job Requirements
Hold an active BLS certification.
Hold an active ACLS certification.
Hold an active NIHSS certification.
Hold an active California License.
Schedule Information
Contract length : 13 weeks.
12-hour shifts; 7a - 7 : 30p / 7p - 7 : 30a.
Every other weekend or equivalent of 4 weekend days in a 4 week schedule.
Unit Specific Information
Types of patients : Non-STEMI, R / O MI & ACS, neuro interventional radiology patients, carotid stents, carotid endarterectomy post ICU, high-risk stroke / renal patients, S / P cranies from ICU, get all r / o stroke, CVA, TIA.
Higher acuity / higher risk patients.

No first time travelers
Unit : 5W Tele Stroke (Very fast paced. High patient turnover. High acuity / high risk patients)
Charge Nurse : Yes (if staffed >
28 pts will have an extra nurse as a 'resource nurse')
