Job Details

  • A hospital in California is looking for an experienced Telemetry nurse for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 3 full years of experience.

    • Job Requirements

  • Hold an active BLS certification.
  • Hold an active ACLS certification.
  • Hold an active NIHSS certification.
  • Hold an active California License.

    • Schedule Information

  • Contract length : 13 weeks.
  • Shifts : 12 hours; 7a - 7 : 30p / 7p - 7 : 30a.
  • Weekends : Every other weekend or equivalent of 4 weekend days in a 4 week schedule.

    • Unit Specific Information

  • Unit Orientation : 2 - 12 hr shifts on home unit.
  • Nurse Aides : Days 3 nurse aides; Nights 2 nurse aides.
  • RT 24 / 7 : Yes
  • Pharmacy 24 / 7 : Yes - also have clinical pharmacists on the unit throughout the day / evening.

    • Additional Details

  • CERNER REQUIRED
  • No duos!
  • No first time travelers
  • Unit : 5W Tele Stroke (Very fast paced. High patient turnover. High acuity / high risk patients)
  • Charge Nurse : Yes (if staffed >

    • 28 pts will have an extra nurse as a 'resource nurse')

  • Scrub Color : Navy blue.
