Position Summary
Histo Technician is responsible for receiving and preparing tissue and body fluid specimens for examination by the Pathologist.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education : High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Minimum Experience : A minimum of two (2) years of clinical laboratory related experience in a facility of comparable size and complexity is required. Previous patient care experience strongly preferred.
Certification : Certified Histotechnician or eligible and six (6) months histo tech experience preferred.
Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center.
