We are excited to invite an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated healthcare team at a new, startup Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC). The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring adherence to established standards, and collaborating effectively with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive treatment. This position requires a strong understanding of various medical procedures and the ability to manage acute situations with proficiency.
Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse at our ASC, you will be responsible for:
- Direct Patient Care:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Perform IV insertion and manage infusion therapy to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Patient Assessment and Monitoring:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients and continuously monitor their conditions.
- Document any changes in patient status accurately and promptly.
- Assisting in Procedures:
- Support esthetic laser treatments and execute pain management protocols as part of the patient care team.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Teams:
- Work alongside multidisciplinary teams in trauma medicine and acute pain management to provide cohesive care.
- Infection Control:
- Maintain high standards of infection control in compliance with healthcare regulations to ensure patient safety.
- Patient Education:
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care to empower them in their health management.
- Documentation and Billing:
- Adhere to coding standards for patient documentation and billing processes to ensure accurate records and reimbursements.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital and emergency room (ER) setting is beneficial.
- Clinical Skills:
- Proficient in IV insertion, infection control, pain management, and acute care practices.
- Familiarity with Preoperative (PreOp), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and circulating nurse skill sets.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Stress Management: Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and empathy, ensuring a calm presence for patients and families.
