Clinic Patient Access Representative - Dermatology - PT

Position Purpose:  To provide excellent customer service to all patients, providers, staff and vendors. Inputs accurate information into EMR to ensure proper billing and communications processes. Also ensure that the patient experience starts off positive.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

• Able to perform patient check-in and check-out.
• Able to file patients files
• Follow cash handling procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ability to check insurance and ensure they are entered in properly
• Working knowledge of automated appointment scheduling.
• Customer service experience in a high volume, multiple task, high stress environment.
• Experience handling difficult callers, customers and patients.
• Basic knowledge insurance.
• General knowledge of all Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Typing skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Communication skills.
• PC skills.
• Must be able to multi-task.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years of age (21 for driving positions)
• Must be able to legally work in the United States
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable)
• Must complete employee health meeting

Education/Licensure/Certification:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Unencumbered License/Certification (if applicable)

Experience:

• Familiar with Medical Terminology helpful
• Past knowledge of all Microsoft Office products
• Bilingual preferred

Position Classification:  Non-exempt

Compensation Range:  $19.16 to $26.82
