Pay Range*: $37.98/hr - $55.10/hr

Position Summary
This position is responsible for applying codes in the EHR for all inpatient type accounts. Code assignment is based on ICD-10-CM and PCS coding guidelines. Ensure Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) data elements are accurate.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
- Meeting quality standards for ICD-10-CM/PCS code assignment.
- Codes from only compliant documentation.
- Achieves optimal MS-DRG and APR-DRG assignment.
- Maintains productivity standards to ensure A/R Day goals are met/exceeded.
- Follows company policies, procedures, and directives.
- Maintains required coding credentials.
- Other duties as assigned.
*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Qualifications/Work Experience:
- Five years acute care hospital coding experience required.
- Successful completion of an accredited coding program.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
- At least one of the following credentials is required. AHIMA: CCS, RHIT, RHIA or AAPC: CIC
