Position Summary
This position is responsible for the maintenance of the Hospital buildings, equipment grounds and the plant facilities.The incumbent must be highly skilled in all aspects of the building trades including but not limited to; carpentry, plumbing, electrical, utility management, welding, masonry, sheet metal fabrication, construction, mechanics, etc. Furthermore, this position is held accountable to working in a lead capacity through the direction of the Manager of Plant Operations.This position is often called upon to plan, organize, train staff in the functions of the building trades, and to direct and supervise assigned activities of the Plant Operations functions which are necessary in maintaining the hospital plant in working conditions.

4. Ability to perform advanced maintenance within the building trades
5. Ability to respond to emergency situations involving either patient safety or building safety according to hospital policies and procedures and / or regulatory requirements.(In emergency response situations, may be assigned a lead role in response and recovery e.g. HICS)
6. Ability to be at work and be on time
7. Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives
8. Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner
9. Ability to prioritize and multitask
