Position Summary
Utilizing the nursing process and clinical nursing practice standards, the Cardiac Surgery Operating Room Clinical Operations Manager responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care for the CVOR patients in accordance with the policies and procedure of the Surgical Services and the Nursing Departments.
The Cardiac Surgery Operating Room Clinical Operations Manager reports directly to the Director of Cardiac Surgery and is responsible for maintaining effective working relations with co - workers, nurses and physicians, outside services and other staff members to ensure workflow effectiveness. S / he creates an image of quality service and demonstrates critical thinking, problem solving, tact, diplomacy, discretion and judgment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to personnel resource management, supply and equipment inventory management, clinical information systems management, and professional staff development. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring all Cardiac Surgery regulatory requirements and guidelines are continuously adhered to and independently makes changes to operations as required to meet standards.
