Position Summary
MemorialCare Medical Group is looking for an experienced, certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Cardiology practice in Long Beach, California. The NP-Cardiology (Inpatient, Outpatient) will have job duties and responsibilities in bothinpatient and outpatient settings.In this full-time role, you'll work under the supervision of MCMG Cardiology Medical Director(s).
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
- In the inpatient environment, the NP will be responsible for discharging cardiology patients
- In the outpatient environment, the NP will see cardiology patients for follow up visits in the office
- Employed position with MemorialCare Medical Group
- Full-time (1.0 FTE), Monday through Friday
- EMR: Epic
Qualifications
- Two or more years of full-time workexperience as a certified Nurse Practitioner managing cardiology patients in an inpatient setting is required
- May work across care settings to follow patients
- Current certification from an agency accredited by the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification (ABSNC)
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of California.
- Current furnishing license to furnish medications in the State of California
- Current DEA
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
