Shift: Days (up to 2x per week, at least available Monday and Tuesday)
Pay Range*: $62.00/hour flat rate
In collaboration with Program Physician Leaders, Executive Director and Department Manager, the Medication Specialty Nurse is responsible for supporting activities of MemorialCare Medical Group’s Medication Refill Program. Activities including but not limited to the timely and accurate processing medication refills requested by pharmacies, provider offices and external/internal customers. The Medication Specialty Nurse maintains and demonstrates a complete understanding of the MemorialCare Refill Protocol. Protocols are evidence-based recommendations and standards per Best Practice Committee.
Position Summary
Utilizing the nursing process and clinical nursing practice standards, the RN is responsible for directing, coordinating nursing care for patients in accordance with clinical policies and procedures. Responsibilities include directing unlicensed team member activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/interventions, teaching patients/family, implementation of plan of care and orders, and evaluation of care rendered. The RN will incorporate the five (5) Simply Better steps with every patient and team member interaction.

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customer or employees of the organization.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Proficient on Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Strong oral and written communication and research/problem solving skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on internal/external customer satisfaction and teamwork. Proven dedication to quality, teamwork, customer service and professionalism.

- Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications.
