Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team at MemorialCare. As a key member of our Purchased Services department, you will be responsible for managing the system-wide portfolio of contract categories across assigned service lines.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage category optimization strategies, including GPO Tier Max, collaboration with an aggregation group, local negotiations, requests for proposals (RFP), or a competitive bidding process.
- Work closely with Strategic Sourcing Analysts to ensure compliance with GPO and system-wide negotiated contracts and ensure price integrity.
- Maximize use of informatics for contract price compliance; supply cost and utilization analyses; savings actualization; benchmarking resources; and mining for cost reduction opportunities.
- Facilitate large diverse groups from multiple disciplines to reach consensus and make decisions.
Requirements:
- Minimum of seven years' experience in clinical value analysis, strategic sourcing, analytics, and project management.
- Possess extensive knowledge of hospital business operations and related medical supplies and services.
- Negotiation and contract redlines with vendor agreements.
- Working knowledge of clinical practices, patient safety initiatives, and clinical procedures.
- Strong leadership, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Strong communicator in all forms of media.
- Must have strong experience using Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel skills.
