Assistant Operations Manager -- reports to Operations Manager
Job Description
This role is responsible for assisting with supporting and managing cashier/sales staff, ensuring customer and vendor satisfaction, maintaining the sales floor to Memory Den’s standards, and supporting vendors.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides excellent customer service, maintains positive vendor relationships, and leads cashier/sales team to Memory Den standards
- Supports and assists the cashier/sales team, especially during breaks and peak hours
- Writes the team Schedule such that there will be adequate coverage each day
- Provides Vendor Relations support and assistance
- Maintains overall cleanliness and tidiness of the Mall
- Assists with maintaining store inventory
- Assists with event planning and execution
- Assists with seeking and coordinating collaborations with local talent
- Collaborates with Social Media Associate
- Assists with other duties as needed
Daily Priorities
- Complete open and/or closing procedures
- Check-in with team
- Assist cashier/sales staff during breaks and peak hours
- Walk the Mall Floor regularly
- Engage with customers and vendors
- Maintain cleanliness
- Respond to emails from vendors, customers, and potential collaborators
Weekly Priorities
- Attend weekly team meetings
- Write team schedule
- (Every other week) Host Vendor Nights
- Review and update Vendor Application spreadsheet
- Assist with stocking store inventory
- Collaborate with Social Media Associate
- Maintain Phone Booth messages
- Assist with updating EOS score card
- Report social media KPI data
Monthly Priorities
- Assist with reporting accurate Vendor Rent data
- Assist with processing accurate Vendor Payouts
- Assist with updating monthly KPIs
- Serve as back-up to the Operations Manager for office administration
Qualifications
- 2 years of Operations/Administrative experience (required)
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required
- Customer service experience
- Management or supervisor experience
- Microsoft 365/Office Suite experience
- Passion, creativity, and a drive to grow
