Mission Contribution:
To help drive Memphis Goodwill (MGI), Memphis Goodwill Industries, Inc. (MGII) and the Goodwill Excel Center (GEC) providing relevant data, maintaining state of the art information systems and leading organizational compliance to optimize the organization's ability to fulfill its mission.
Function:
Under the supervision of the SVP of Operations; plans, directs, and coordinates all information technology systems, along with the development, and implementation of solutions for business continuity and disaster recovery mitigation and strategies. The Director of Information Services and Compliance ensures that the right information is provided to the right team members daily. This position will also lead organizational quality assurance and associated compliance to maximize financial performance, customer satisfaction and service objectives as defined by the strategic plan.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Compile and update the strategic vision for the IT Department.
- Creates and manages network, cloud computing, and vendor relationships to ensure MGI receives the agreed upon service necessary to support the organization’s information systems infrastructure.
- Conduct systems analysis and evaluate business process reengineering opportunities to enhance mission delivery.
- Provide for the creation and/or authorize purchase of new information technology systems and provide support for same as required by team members.
- Provide for the collection and processing of all relevant information streams of the organization.
- Lead for accounting and maintenance of MGI owned hardware, software, and other information asset inventories.
- Ensure proper security policies and backup procedures exist to protect the integrity of MGI’s information assets. Maintain disaster recovery plan.
- Maintain Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards requirements compliance to secure and protect customer and donor personal information.
- Provide the technology plan for CARF surveys.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews, end user feedback surveys, and work order follow-up after closure to ensure effective and satisfactory service delivery. Consult with other teams and team members to address information management issues.
- Provide updates on system status and service issues to the organization, coordinating downtimes with affected team members when necessary.
- Provide for the maintenance and improvement of organization’s information technology platform.
- Attend in service and related training as assigned by team leader.
- Maintain a sense of decorum, exercise discretion, and assure confidentiality in discussing and presenting sensitive information (inclusive of payroll and all financial matters).
- Other duties as assigned by team leader.
Qualifications:
- Successful experience creating a broad, enterprise-wide information/technology program for an organization, including strategy, processes and capabilities.
- Strong people management and leadership capabilities, including demonstrated experience attracting, motivating and retaining high performing teams, as well as experience managing remote teams.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially with respect to articulating highly technical concepts to both more sophisticated and less technical audiences.
- Knowledge of risk management and controls in a public company environment.
- Successfully leverage and drive technology innovation opportunities while demonstrating sound operational discipline, judgment, and decision-making.
- Ensures and maintains a high level of confidentiality regarding organizational and sensitive personal data.
Training & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field.
- Following certifications are preferred:
Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), CompTIA IT Project , CompTIA Network Certification, and/or Certified Technology Manager(CTM), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), COBIT 5 Foundation Certification, CompTIA Project , Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Six Sigma Certification and/or TOGAF 9 Certification.
- A minimum of 7 years successful experience leading IS/IT function, including business process improvement, technology management or information management.
Special Requirements:
- Must be able to work occasional after-hours and weekends.
- Must be able to present and lead instructor led training to a group of people at a time.
- Incumbent must possess a valid driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage and a privately owned reliable means of transportation to travel throughout territory to visit locations.
- Ability to bend, reach and stand, and lift up to twenty-five pounds on an occasional basis.
