What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Supervisor position at Memphis Jewish Home & Rehab?
The Memphis Jewish Home and Rehab (MJHR) is a 160 bed skilled nursing facility located in Cordova, Tennessee. We are seeking candidates for a RN Supervisor Position. The hours for this position are 6:45 pm – 7:15 am working a 2-3-2 schedule.
Job Summary
The primary purpose of the RN Supervisor position is to supervise the nursing activities and facility operations for the whole facility for one shift.
Education
- Must possess an RN Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved RN diploma program.
Experience
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a staff nurse in a long-term care facility.
- Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices preferred.
- Prior supervisory experience in a related setting is preferred.
Specific Requirements
- A current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state.
- Display professionalism both in appearance and attitude.
- Possess the ability to solve problems and make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
