The essential job responsibilities include providing support in the creation and maintenance of geographic maps and
databases using GIS, CIS and CAD computer applications. Creating, maintaining, and analyzing MLGW's land databases to ensure the integrity of data
provided to internal and external customers. Perform advanced level address assignment functions; resolve complex street name and address issues. Assist in documenting work processes.
EDUCATION
Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Planning, Architectural Engineering or related field with 2 years of experience concentrating in GIS /CAD mapping and technology or Associate's Degree in any of the areas listed above with 6 years of experience in GIS/CAD mapping and technology.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Must have an occupationally significant combination of: ability to apply GIS/CAD mapping and systematical record-keeping techniques; verbal facility to deal effectively with personnel; and mathematical ability and perception to perform detailed calculations and preparation of designs. Work in office majority of time; occasionally work outside under good conditions. Subject to light lifting, sitting for long periods of time and eye fatigue, occasionally, crouching, stooping and bending and other hazards associated with field inspections.
