Job Description
Mechanical Repair Technicians perform a variety of tasks including repairs, maintenance and installation of equipment related to swimming pools, spas, and fountains; diagnose water chemistry problems and make the appropriate corrections; inspect and operate supporting pool equipment; keep records and logs of work; requisition supplies, tools, and equipment and manage inventory. The technician is expected to give estimates for installation, service and/or repairs and respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints.
- Essential Job Functions: Outstanding customer service and organizational abilities
- Accurate and timely execution and follow-up of customer inquiries
- Accurately diagnose and perform repairs, maintenance, or installation of filters, pumps, heaters and other equipment
- Inspect and operate supporting pool equipment, such as chlorinators, chemical feeders, ozonators and automated control systems
- Keep accurate records, logs of job status and results of work orders completed
- Estimate time, materials and equipment required for jobs assigned; complete requisitions for equipment, supplies, tools, and other materials needed to perform duties
- Manage inventory according to company policies and procedures
- Meet department initiatives and financial targets as stated in the annual plan
- Other duties as assigned Requirements * Basic understanding of and ability to practice common electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs
- Strong organizational skills
- Effective communication skills with all Memphis Pool related individuals including all levels of management, employees, and customers
- Ability to follow policies and procedures to the fine point of instruction without supervision
- Must be able to perform duties with a focus on safety
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
