What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grounds Crew Member - Seasonal position at Memphis Redbirds?
The Memphis Redbirds, Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, are seeking highly motivated and hardworking individuals to join the grounds staff. Grounds crew members will play a key role in the execution of all on-field events including Memphis Redbirds baseball games, concerts, and additional events to ensure that the field exceeds professional standards..
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Batting practice setup and teardown
- Pre-game prep such as dragging, setting string lines for chalk, setting out bases/hose, mound and plate prep, painting batters boxes
- Post-game fixes such as repairing mound and plate, cleaning baselines, cleaning out edges, repairing bullpens, etc.
- Keep shop area and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition
- Assist with tarp pulls as assigned
- Other duties as assigned to successfully host first-class events at AutoZone Park

Qualifications:
- Must be 16 or older to apply
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as team schedules require
- Willingness to learn with a positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to push/pull with hands/arms
- Ability to walk/run during tarp pulls
