Position Summary
The Memphis Redbirds are looking for enthusiastic and energetic performers to join our Promo Team as part-time mascots. The primary goal of a mascot is to entertain fans during home games and various community events in Memphis. The Redbirds are looking for members to serve as brand ambassadors and uphold the family fun mentality that Rockey the Rockin’ Redbird is known for.

The primary goal of a mascot is to entertain fans during home games and various community events in Memphis. The Redbirds are looking for members to serve as brand ambassadors and uphold the family fun mentality that Rockey the Rockin’ Redbird is known for.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform in front of large crowds at Memphis Redbirds’ home games and other essential functions as needed
- Create skits/routines to entertain fans
- Be able to serve as Mascot Handler or Promo Team member when not in the suit
- Coordinate with In-Stadium Entertainment Manager and Director of Marketing to improve the Game Presentation
- Attend and contribute to pre-production meetings each game
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain situational awareness during the entire game and inning breaks
- Ability to represent the Memphis Redbirds at community events
- Other duties as assigned
- Prior experience with sports, events or live production preferred
- Prior experience as a mascot preferred but not required
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to work the entire event including pre- and post-game activities
- General understanding of the game of baseball
- Works well in fast-paced/live events, high-pressure situations
