Join Our Team as a Compliance Specialist!

Are you passionate about maintaining the highest standards in compliance, protecting sensitive information, and ensuring regulatory adherence? We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Specialist to support our compliance efforts and foster a culture of ethical excellence!

In this role, you'll work closely with the Chief People and Culture Officer and play a pivotal role in helping our teams understand and meet regulatory requirements, maintain accurate records, and mitigate risks. This on-site position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate across departments, directly contribute to internal investigations, and support our staff's training and development in compliance with best practices. Your work will keep our organization aligned with industry standards and ready to meet any regulatory challenges.

What You'll Do :

  • Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Compliance : Assist in ensuring compliance with key regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, credentialing, liability insurance, licensing, and emergency preparedness plans. Serve as a point of contact for questions on regulatory standards and provide support in applying these requirements to everyday operations.

  • Policy and Procedure Support : Help develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures. Work with internal teams to ensure policies are accessible and understood by relevant staff and assist in updating documentation as needed to reflect regulatory changes.
  • Audits and Risk Assessment : Coordinate routine audits, risk assessments, and environmental reviews. Track and document findings, helping to identify any areas of concern. Support the development of corrective action plans and monitor their progress, communicating updates to leadership.
  • Training and Documentation Management : Assist with compliance-related staff training, including scheduling, material preparation, and tracking attendance. Maintain detailed records of training completion and document retention to ensure compliance with audit requirements.
  • Compliance Support and Consulting : Act as a resource to operational teams, providing guidance on meeting compliance requirements and consulting on internal or external regulatory questions. Work closely with leadership to address specific compliance needs and provide support for compliance improvement projects.
  • Issue Investigation and Reporting : Support the investigation of compliance issues, complaints, or incidents, including those reported through anonymous channels. Document findings and assist in determining appropriate resolutions, reporting outcomes to leadership.
  • Confidentiality and Ethical Standards : Uphold and reinforce standards of ethics and confidentiality in all activities, ensuring sensitive information is handled appropriately and in alignment with organizational policies.
  • Communication and Reporting : Maintain open lines of communication with leadership regarding any regulatory deficiencies or potential compliance risks, especially those that could impact operations or involve regulatory intervention.
  • Collaboration with outside departments : Work closely with Operations and Human Resources teams to support compliance needs across departments, ensuring coordinated efforts in policy implementation, training, and adherence to regulatory standards

  • What You'll Bring to the Team :

  • Education & Experience : Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience) and at least 5 years in healthcare operations, compliance support, or a related field, ideally within a clinic or hospital setting.
  • Skill Set : Knowledge of healthcare regulations, especially HIPAA and OSHA. Strong organizational and communication skills, high integrity, and the ability to work under deadlines are key.
  • Tech-Savvy : Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiarity with compliance tracking software is a bonus.
