What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Manager Intern position at Menards, Inc.?
Job Description
The Business Development Manager Internship is a 12-week on-the-job training and learning experience that will equip interns with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in management roles within our organization.
During the first six weeks, interns will gain a comprehensive understanding of the daily responsibilities and activities of our managers. They will work directly with a supervisor to develop their understanding and skills in this initial training period. At the end of this period, they will undergo an evaluation with the Department Manager.
From weeks seven through eleven, the Management Intern will take on more significant responsibilities, including managing a particular section of the department they have been working in. This includes inventory control, scheduling, guest service, team member complaints, to-do lists, and other essential tasks. They will also undergo a second evaluation at this time.
Each building will have a separate 12-week plan tailored to its specific needs and departments. During their final week, the Department Manager will provide an in-depth tour of all departments to give interns a broader understanding of the entire organization.
Throughout the internship, interns will be responsible for completing six projects that will help them develop their skills and apply their knowledge in practical settings.
