About The Opportunity
The Floor Lead ensures an acceptable finished product for our customer. The person in this position is responsible for overseeing of the production line leaders and that the floor operates in a productive manner. The Floor Lead is also responsible for directing and training all new Line Leads in the production processes, safety and Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs). THIS IS A SECOND SHIFT POSITION, HOURS ARE MONDAY-THURSDAY 3:30PM-2:00AM
Essential Functions:
1. Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
2. Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines
3. Ability to start up and conduct line clearance for every production job
4. Ability to multi-task in between lines and support line leads
5. Demonstrate and lead cross functional training to ensure all line associates can perform their responsibilities and attain business needs
6. Collaborate with supervisors on developing better practices and lean continuous improvement.
7. Responsible for training production staff
8. Serve as a backup to the Production Supervisor
9. Work in conjunction with the Quality Department for positive production results
10. Conduct inspection of the line every 2 hours or more frequently if the job is complex or critical in its design or use
11. Keep abreast of the rates of the jobs running on the production line
12. Responsible for job packets being filled out correctly, accurately, and on time
13. Maintain a professional demeanor and performance in supervision of staff
14. Perform all computer functions in Warehouse Management System (WMS)
15. Process information and merchandise through computer system
16. Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements
17. Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors

Education/Certification:
High school or equivalent desired
Work Experience:
Minimum of 2 years related experience or training in a warehouse or production setting

The hourly rate for this position is $21.50/hr. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan and for a full benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, basic term life, AD&D, short & long term disability. EWS, 401(k) retirement savings plan, PTO, and paid holidays.
