About The Opportunity
Ensures production output by assisting production supervision in helping to resolve issues, coordinate priorities and optimize efficiencies in effort to meet our customer’s needs. Provide daily support on quality related issues, communicates quality performance through standard reporting.So, you may ask why ORBIS? Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Lead teams of 10-15 associates including coaching on safety, quality, productivity and company policies.
- Support supervisors and operators to help direct and balance workload.
- Verify 1st piece article and Process Qualification Form (PQF) to ensure team members have a correctly cut unit for reference.
- Work with plant production with regards to inspection approvals, including internal 1st piece and customer first article approvals.
- Monitor work to maintain production efficiencies and standards.
- Troubleshoot problems occurring during origination process.
- Train and coach associates to achieve higher quality levels and increased production output.
- Monitor machines throughput, perform waste walks as needed.
- Monitor machine job breakdown and 5S cleanup.
- Complete in process audits of production workstations, including part and production process audits.
- Gather information on Product Hold Tickets, and Complaints issues.
- Drive the execution and continuous improvement of the quality policy and procedures (reduced scrap/waste, customer returns, etc.).
- Provide feedback to Production Management team on issues affecting production and/or completion of an order.
- Initiate, recommend and/or provide solutions to address issues via the appropriate channels.
- Other duties as assigned.

- During training period this position will work 6a-2p
- After training this position will work 230p-11p
