About The Opportunity
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk manages inbound and outbound shipments with the main objective of ensuring products are delivered and moved on time.
Essential Functions:
1. Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
2. Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines
3. Report and maintain data in customer and internal system
4. Generate BOL’s and packing lists
5. Complete paperwork timely and accurately including preparing reports as needed
6. Report all discrepancies with inbound and/or outbound loads
7. Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of work area
8. Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements
9. Scheduling freight loads through Customer’s systems on a daily basis; verify loads match in both MPC and customer’s systems
10. Reporting of load exceptions by Customer
11. Regular communication with Carriers, Customers, Project Managers and Shipping/Receiving Department
12. Responsible for carrier inbound and outbound performance reports by customer gather info from site updates for scorecards to be sent back to Customers
13. Maintaining the integrity of information in systems, on reports and as it’s provided to the Customer
14. SAP for MPC & Customer
15. Communicates instructions to checker/loaders, contracted truck drivers, and OTR carriers
16. Coordinates and execute shipping schedules, and dispatch local freight shipments
17. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
18. Resolve outbound and incoming delivery issues with key stakeholders
19. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
20. Examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages

Scanning Functions
21. To receive/ and scan inbound shipments in S4
22. To receive inbound materials with accuracy and attention to detail
23. To report any discrepancies and/ or errors to your supervisor
24. Ensure trailer inspection is completed and trailer is usable prior to scanning HU’s to shipments
25. To scan pallets to outbound shipments from the picklist staged in the assigned dock door

Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or equivalent
