Designer (Manufacturing)
The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties; however, it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.
- Creates innovative design solutions and produces samples to meet customer requirements
- Reviews sample requests for layout and planning of project with key stakeholders
- Effectively manages multiple projects and provides ongoing status reports to key stakeholders
- Develop specifications and diagrams to be used for production orders
- Creates set-up instructions and / or animations for end user
- Supports sales team including interaction with customers and / or vendors
- Maintains stock inventory and evaluates possible stock alternatives
- Reviews in-process production orders to assure conformance to design functionality
- Facilitates or executes product testing as required
- Participates in industry trade shows and events including set-up and / or professional development opportunities
