This is to support work of water plant and distribution operations and is a seasonal position.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Work involves maintaining lawns at the Water Plant, Intake Head House, Pump Station, and Tower using riding mowers, push mowers, and weed eaters. Head House duties will include filling chemical feeders as needed, removing and cleaning intake screens, collecting source water samples, removing weeds, algae, sticks, fish, and other debris from the intake channel. Responsibilities will include maintenance at the Intake Head House, general cleaning and painting at the Water Plant, Pump Station, and Chemical Feed Building. Seasonal employees will assist water plant and distribution employees with special projects. Special projects include organizing parts in the stock room, organizing files, cleaning filter underdrain nozzles, assisting distribution with leak detection, assisting distribution with Uni-directional flushing, and verifying service line materials.
