Hospice Nurse

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with terminal illnesses, ensuring comfort and dignity in their final days. This role requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with families and interdisciplinary teams.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and family members.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols.
• Monitor vital signs and manage symptoms effectively to enhance patient comfort.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding end-of-life care options.
• Assist with sterile processing of medical equipment as needed.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in compliance with ICD-10 coding standards.
• Participate in case conferences and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the hospice program.

Requirements

• Current nursing license in good standing.
• Knowledge of infection control practices and home community care principles.
• Ability to assess vital signs accurately and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Commitment to providing compassionate end-of-life care while respecting patients' wishes.

Pay: $42.00 - $52.00 per hour
