Description
The Licensed Vocational Nurse provides nursing support and structure within the Care Team. The Licensed Vocational Nurse performs nursing functions within their scope and functions as a part of the team effectively, delegates tasks to staff, and is able to identify areas for improvement and provide solutions.

Primary Duties :
- Anticipates the need of the entire medical team, able to delegate tasks to Medical Assistant's that are within their scope and prioritize daily tasks.
- Collaborates with Lead LVN in ensuring appropriate supplies, logs and team specific requirements are successfully completed.
- Under the direction of the medical provider and / or the medication protocol, may renew routine medication refills that are exact and not considered a new prescription or medication change. May call in medication change to pharmacy that has been changed by the provider.
- Documents treatments, infusions, patient symptoms, care and response within scope accurately and timely in patients Electronic Health Record.
- Demonstrates and maintains knowledge of : Vaccines guidelines for children and adults within the CDC Immunization Schedule; use, administration and effects of narcotics and in-office medications and their side effects; communicable diseases and infection control practices and procedures.
- Provides patient education as appropriate under the direction of the medical provider and age specific.
- Travels to other site locations
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
