Requirements / Qualifications
- Associate of Arts Degree or 48 units from an accredited institution, or passing score on a locally-administered proficiency exam;
- Demonstrated experience in using judgment in high pressure situations;
- Two (2) years of instructional assistant experience, working with high-risk, adjudicated or incarcerated youth, is desirable;
- Bilingual is desirable;
- Incumbents may be required to possess valid First-Aid and CPR Certificates;
- Possess or obtain upon employment, a valid California Driver License;
- Provide proof of automobile insurability;
- Meet the physical requirements necessary to perform assigned duties safely and effectively, including lifting fifty (50) pounds on an occasional basis and in excess of fifty (50) pounds with assistance.
