What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Service Advisor position at Mendoza Ford?
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately diagnose vehicle issues
- Provide recommendations for necessary repairs and maintenance
- Prepare accurate estimates for repair costs and obtain customer approval
- Schedule appointments and communicate with customers regarding the status of their vehicles
- Transmit work orders to the technicians and ensure timely completion of repairs
- Suspend work orders when additional approvals or parts are needed
- Review completed work orders and explain repairs to customers
- Process payments and handle cash transactions
Requirements:
- Previous experience in automotive sales or service advisor role preferred
- Knowledge of automotive systems, including air brakes, shocks, struts, diesel engine repair, brake repair, oil changes, and alignments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Cash handling experience is a plus
Experience with X-Time and/or DealerTrack DMS
