Job Summary :
The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the organization's network infrastructure. This role ensures network performance, security, and reliability, and works closely with the IT team and vendors to optimize connectivity, scalability, and security across LAN, WAN, and wireless networks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki solutions, including firewalls, switches, and access points, and possess strong knowledge of network security practices.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities :
- Network Design & Deployment : Design and deploy network solutions, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, to meet organizational requirements.
- Network Hardware Management : Configure and manage network hardware such as Cisco Meraki firewalls, switches, routers, and access points.
- Network Upgrades & Expansions : Plan, implement, and optimize network upgrades, expansions, and integrations to ensure scalability and performance.
- Network Monitoring : Utilize network monitoring tools to track network performance, capacity, and health.
- Issue Resolution : Identify and resolve network issues to minimize downtime, including diagnosing complex problems related to network hardware and software.
- Network Security : Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and other security protocols.
- Collaboration with Cybersecurity Team : Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to prevent, detect, and mitigate network-related security threats.
- Security Standards Compliance : Ensure that network infrastructure complies with relevant security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Incident Response : Respond to and resolve escalated network-related incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Technical Support : Provide network-related technical support to IT teams and end-users, troubleshooting issues and providing solutions.
- Documentation & Reporting : Document network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps; generate regular reports on network performance, security, and capacity planning.
- Vendor Liaison : Work with vendors and service providers to procure network hardware, software, and support services.
- Ongoing Maintenance : Perform regular maintenance tasks including firmware updates, security patches, and device configuration changes.
- Perform any other tasks or functions deemed necessary to the daily operations of the employer.

Meneses Law believes in Work Life Balance. Operation hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. plus 2 Saturdays a month for certain positions.

Qualifications / Requirements :
A bachelor's degree, knowledge of MS Office and MacOS.
Ability of reading comprehension, writing, speaking to others to convey information effectively, active listening and interpreting instructional documents.
Must be able to analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures to define the problem or objective. Identify relevant concerns or factors, patterns, tendencies, and relationships. Formulate logical and objective conclusions and recognize alternative and their implications.
This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking.
Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Monday to Friday from 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm 2 Saturdays, per month. Must work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
