Position Summary
We seek a passionate and dedicated Student Ministry Resident to invest in the next generation of leaders at Menlo Church. The resident will partner with the NextGen Central team and student directors at each campus to lead and develop student ministries across each location. This is a full-time, temporary position offering a unique opportunity to grow and contribute to a thriving church community committed to reaching the Bay Area for Jesus.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with the NextGen Central team and student directors in leading and developing student ministries across multiple campuses.
- Participate in the development and implementation of student ministry programs and events.
- Build relationships with students and their families, creating a welcoming and supportive environment.
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of volunteers to help lead the ministry.
- Contribute to the overall mission and vision of Menlo Church, including the Hope for Everyone initiative.
- Engage in ongoing learning and leadership development through regular meetings with the NextGen Director and monthly all-staff leadership development workshops.
Job Requirements
- Passion for sharing the hope of Jesus with students and a desire to contribute to the church's mission of reaching the Bay Area.
- Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and volunteers.
- High capacity individual who can stay engaged in current ministry activities while also focusing on future goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, families, and volunteers.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for events and camps.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
Physical Demands
- Stand for extended periods.
- Walk, bend, twist, kneel, reach or those movements that would be experienced during while working with children
- Hand/eye coordination and dexterity for small objects and office equipment.
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
Work Conditions
- This position operates in a church environment which includes offices and educational settings. There may be standard office equipment such as computers, printers, filing cabinets, and telephones as well as classroom equipment like low tables, sports & game equipment & toys
- Days and hours of work are generally business hours Sunday-Thursday with an occasional Friday, Saturday, or evening as needed.

The pay range for this role is: $20 USD per hour (Exact compensation may vary based on skills & experience in addition to a generous benefits package)
