About Us

Menlo Micro has reinvented one of the most fundamental building blocks of electronic systems – the electronic switch. Menlo Micro’s technology creates a new switch category that eliminates compromises and tradeoffs by combining the benefits of electromechanical and solid-state switches into the best of both worlds with its “Ideal Switch.”

Are you interested in playing a critical, impactful role and in working with top electronic systems talent at an exciting startup backed by industry leaders? Do you want to help create truly disruptive and unique products that have the ability to change markets? If you answered yes to both, this may be your opportunity to have a significant impact at a cutting-edge, rapidly growing semiconductor company with industry-leading technology that will drive electronic systems innovation across a diverse range of industries.

Role Summary and Purpose

As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will play a key role in the New Technology Introduction (NTI) team, contributing to the development of our innovative ohmic MEMS switch design and associated fabrication process technologies. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Process Technologies, you will collaborate with various NTI functions and cross-functional teams, including Operations and Quality.

In this role, you will be responsible for successfully designing, building and validating electrical device test systems as well as the use of these systems to push the device performance boundaries to support the development of novel power MEMS devices.

Essential Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the device and material characterization, including electrical, mechanical, and reliability testing of ohmic MEMS switches with a focus on power applications. The ideal candidate will design and build test system components to support the development of test systems for novel power MEMS devices. You will collect and postprocess data from experiments and present them to the team to support timely and informed engineering decisions for new technology introductions, as well as assist the Quality and Operations teams when needed.

As part of the New Technology Introduction team, you will work in an innovative environment to deliver test solutions, data, and analysis that guide new designs and device improvements.

You will :

  • Design, build and debug test systems using both manual and semi-automated bench test equipment.
  • Be responsible for performing a variety of electrical and mechanical device measurements and communicating the results to the broader team.
  • Implement automated data acquisition and analysis scripts across multiple test platforms.
  • Work across organizations to develop and drive best-in-class electrical test and data communication processes.
  • Perform sound electrical failure mode analysis.
  • Design and execute DOEs, working with the process team to assess the effect of split experiments
  • Maintain critical bench and production test infrastructure.
  • Be able to work in compliance with safety requirements for all phases of tool installation & operation.
  • Ensure and maintain quality standards, engineering requirements and product specifications for Menlo Micro’s process technology.
  • Comply with all company quality and safety policies and procedures.
