About the RoleChime is looking for a Principal Product Designer with exceptional visual design skills to join our growing Product Design team. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and comprehensive benefits.This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, with 3 days per week in the office.What You’ll Do Be an advocate for stunning, user-centered design , ensuring that every product we create embodies beauty, clarity, and accessibility.Lead and execute high-impact visual and interaction design projects , setting the bar for aesthetics across our mobile and digital products.Partner with cross-functional teams—product management, engineering, marketing, and data analytics—to craft experiences that drive meaningful change for our members.Provide design mentorship to peers and teammates, fostering a culture of excellence in visual and interaction design.Use a human-centered design process to solve complex user problems, while creating delightful, visually compelling interfaces.Contribute to and evolve our design systems , ensuring scalable and cohesive design patterns across all products.Lead end-to-end design projects, balancing timelines, deliverables, and collaboration with precision and creativity.What You Bring 8-10 years of experience designing visually stunning consumer-facing digital and mobile experiences.A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create exceptional visual and interaction designs , with clear evidence of successful mobile app projects.Mastery of typography, color theory, layout, and interaction design principles, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics .Experience applying user research and data insights to inform and refine design decisions.The ability to balance business goals with user needs , crafting designs that drive results and delight users.Excellent communication skills—you can articulate the "why" behind your design decisions to stakeholders, including executives, and foster alignment.A growth mindset and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.Nice-to-Haves Experience working in agile or lean environments .Proficiency in prototyping tools or coding is a plus, enabling you to bring ideas to life quickly and effectively.Why Chime?
