YOUR MISSION

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the end-to-end design, analysis, and development of propulsion systems for advanced satellites, ensuring mission requirements are met.

Oversee the integration, testing, and qualification of propulsion systems, including hardware-in-the-loop and system-level testing.

Develop and implement novel propulsion technologies and architectures to enhance system performance and reliability.

Conduct performance analysis and simulations of the propulsion system.

Drive system-level trade studies to select optimal propulsion technologies based on mission objectives and constraints.

Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, including structures, avionics, and thermal, to ensure seamless integration of propulsion subsystems.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

3-5 years of hands-on experience in the design, development, and testing of spacecraft propulsion systems.

Expertise in propulsion system modeling and analysis tools, and the ability to create your own analysis tools.

Ability to lead complex engineering projects with multiple stakeholders, meeting deadlines and deliverables.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Experience with chemical propulsion systems.

Knowledge of CAD tools such as SolidWorks for propulsion system design.

Hands-on experience with propulsion test setups, including vacuum chamber testing and instrumentation.

Experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment or a similarly dynamic setting.

Ability to maintain or obtain TS / SCI clearance

COMPENSATION

Base Salary : $115,000-$140,000

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations : job related knowledge and skills, education, location and experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Work Location —this role will be remote until the launch of our LA factory in early 2025. While we observe a hybrid work environment, some work must be done on site.

Work environment —the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.

Physical demands —the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving.
