This role is responsible for cleaning and laundry services in our four guesthouses of the Welcoming Place, ensuring that all rooms and common areas are clean, well-maintained, and ready for visitors. In addition to the guesthouses, cleaning in the MCC main office, Dining Hall, and Meeting Place is also included. This role offers a dynamic and supportive work environment with the requirement of some weekend hours. Additionally, the position is scheduled to assist colleagues in food preparation, serving, and clean-up in the MCC Dining Hall approximately one day/week.

- Comfortable bending for various tasks such as dishwashing, putting dishes away, and sweeping.
- High School Diploma.
- Three months to one year housekeeping (e.g., vacuuming, mopping, dusting, changing bedding) or kitchen experience (e.g., food prep, dishwashing, serving customers) preferred.
Housekeeping Tasks (80%)
- Clean guest rooms and common areas in guesthouses, including dusting, dry mopping, wet mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms and kitchens.
- Make beds, wash laundry, and ensure all areas are stocked with necessary supplies
- Dispose of trash and recyclables properly.
- Conduct thorough inspections for pests between guest turnovers (training provided).
- Wash windows and perform deep cleaning tasks seasonally and as needed.
- Assess overall cleaning needs in guesthouses and collaborate with the Housekeeping Coordinator to schedule major housekeeping and seasonal cleaning tasks.
- Assist the Housekeeping Coordinator with cleaning tasks in the office, Dining Hall, and Meeting Place.
- Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned on a temporary basis.
Kitchen Tasks (20%)
- Assist colleagues with food prep, serving and clean up, for guests to the MCC Dining Hall. Typical shifts are 6am-2pm; 11am-7pm. Shifts available on week days and weekends.
Other duties as assigned on a temporary basis.
Supervision: No supervisory responsibilities.

Base salary: $15.88. Starting salary may be adjusted up to $17.64 based on previous experience.
