The Material Resources Associate will be based at the MCC Material Resources Center (MRC) in Kidron, Ohio. This position provides administrative support for the MRC and serves as the office manager for the office and staff located in the Kidron building. The position will work closely with the Great Lakes MRC Coordinators in Kidron, OH and Goshen, IN. The position will also connect with the MCC Great Lakes Communication Director and Donor Relations staff located in the area. Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and excellent people skills are important.

Essential:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-3 years relevant work experience
- High comfort level in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel; proficiency in basic computer productivity applications (Outlook, Teams, Zoom) database software (DPO) and other software as needed.
- Digital literacy competency: ability to use technology to find, evaluate, organize, create, and communicate information safely and responsibly.
- Strong organizational, planning and office management skills
- Personable manner in verbal and written communication. Excellent people skills such as greeting, hosting, inspiring, organizing and directing
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with computers, printers, copiers, telephone systems, building security systems
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Flexibility with interruptions
- Takes initiative and can work independently with little supervision.

- Administration for MRC
- Manage the regular Material Resource (MR) donation thank you letter mailings
- Assist the MR coordinator with other mailings, including Christmas cards
- Support logistics for volunteer groups, including scheduling, correspondence with leaders and coordinating break times
- Help the MR coordinator with volunteer groups in the building, including set-up, tear-down and logistics (sometimes flexing hours for evening groups)
- Receive material resource donations, thank donors and answer questions
- Enter donations and groups into DPO (online donor database)
- Help the MR coordinator with planning and details for comforter bashes and kit-packing events
- Assemble and prepare materials for kits, as time permits
- Order kit supplies as requested by the MR Coordinator - OH
- Office management for the Kidron office
- Serve as receptionist - greet visitors, answer phone calls and provide general information; respond to requests or direct calls to appropriate persons; accept walk-in donations; stay current on MCC information
- Manage the regular Material Resource donation thank you letter mailings
- Manage common areas, conference room, kitchenette, plants, etc.; schedule cleaning, trash removal, recycling, etc.; ensure a pleasant physical environment for staff and visitors
- Order and organize supplies for the office
- Manage contacts with service providers, phones, internet, security system.
- Serve as IT Point person for the Kidron office (connecting with MCC U.S. IT staff)
- Manage building access, including overseeing scheduling of meetings and conference rooms and building access codes
- Oversee use of office spaces by MCC Great Lakes staff and ensure that staff have essential office equipment
- Keep receiving area clean and organized
- Check Post Office box in Kidron regularly and take care of office mailings
- Attend all Great Lakes staff meetings (virtually) and in-person staff retreats/gatherings
- Coordinate with MCC Connections Thrift Shop for building maintenance and other campus needs – renter/rentee relationship
- Support Great Lakes Communications Director with MCC GL communication, as assigned
- Support Donor Relations (DR) staff with donor engagement, as assigned
- Other duties as assigned on a temporary basis
Supervision: No supervisory responsibilities
Travel expectations: Travel to annual staff retreats and up to 5% locally

Base salary: $19.73. Starting salary may be adjusted up to $21.92 based on previous experience.
