Job Synopsis
This position provides support and services to all MCC East Coast thrift shops who annually contribute more than $3 million to the ministries of MCC. The person in this position is expected to assist with problem solving in daily shop operations, assist in volunteer recruitment and engagement, to advocate for and be a resource in board development and sound policies and to nurture manager skill development, while offering and promoting MCC Thrift Shop Network resources, all resulting in consistent annual growth in net income. This person also acts as a liaison between MCC and East Coast thrift shops, communicating regularly the shops, issues, needs and feedback to MCC and MCC's mission and use of funds to the shop.

Essential :
- Bachelors degree with no specific area of study; business, economics, management preferred.
- One to three years managerial and networking experience.
- Two to four years experience in retail or similar marketing and merchandising industry.
- Proficiency in email, internet, Microsoft Office and DonorPerfect or related CRM software.
- Financial literacy, including budgeting, or willingness to learn.
- Financial skills needed for budgeting, ability to set goals, organizational competency for planning and implementing actions to meet goals and good communication and relational skills.
- Employment eligibility : Legally eligible to work in the U.S. MCC offers of employment are subject to a successful criminal background check(s).

Travel expectations : Up to 50% travel with less than 30 nights away per year. Travel is mostly within the East Coast but once or twice a year to other regions in the US. It would be rare, but travel might include Canada.
Physical activity / demands : There is an occasional need for ascending or descending stairs / ladders or the like, moving about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another, light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds, operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment. Constant remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time, repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and / or fingers.
Supervision : No supervisory responsibilities.
