What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Aide/STNA position at Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio?
Must be State Tested Nursing Assistant with current First Aid and CPR certificate
Valid Ohio Driver's License with excellent driving record and be insurable.
Schedule appointments as directed by social workers and nursing staff for MMH, and Willow Ridge.
Maintain a calendar of appointments with scheduled transportation to maintain an organized work routine, facilitate efficient scheduling by transporting more than one elder at a time when able.
Transport ambulatory and wheelchair dependent elders to medical appointments.
Complete safety checks prior to vehicle use, inform the Director of Buildings and Grounds of any issues.
Works as an STNA on nursing floors as directed by DON when there are no transportation appointments.
Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
Participates in all organizational mandatory in-services and training, attends meetings as assigned.
Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to essential functions. This includes wearing appropriate shoes for driving and providing care on the nursing floor.
Maintains confidentiality as appropriate under Employer policy and all applicable laws and regulations.
Complies with all Corporate Compliance Policies and the Code of Ethics.
Participates in customer relations with appropriate and professional behavior and attire.
Performs all other related duties as assigned or directed to promote, further, and ensure the caring, effective, and efficient operation of the facilities of Mennonite Memorial Home Communities of Ohio.
