Housekeeper FT and PT available- Day Shift

Mennonite Village is a well-respected not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) with a 75 year history. We are currently seeking Housekeepers to be responsible for the general cleaning of resident's houses, apartments and rooms. Please note under current temporary Oregon state mandate, all healthcare staff or those working in a healthcare setting must be fully vaccinated or have a qualifying medical or religious need for an accommodation. Experience preferred but not required. Starts $15.00 - $16.88 DOE.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for routine cleaning; mopping, vacuuming, and extracting of floors, dusting, vacuuming, and washing of furniture, washing of windows and walls, and removal of trash.
• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms. Refills paper towels, toilet paper and soap dispensers.
• Follows directions on cleaning chemicals for safe use.
• Maintains familiarity with all housekeeping tasks.
• Follows cleaning schedule as assigned.
• Attends in-services as recommended by supervisor.
• Develops an awareness of and uses correct infection control procedures to prevent cross contamination and the spread of disease.
• Documents tasks completed as appropriate.
• Corrects or reports any safety hazards to supervisor. Records incidents, errors, or accidents.
• Follows up with appropriate staff, residents, or other individuals regarding reported complaints, problems, and concerns.
• Assists in training new staff members as assigned.
• Requests information and/or assistance when needed.
• Cleans and waters plants as needed.
• Regular attendance and punctuality is an essential function of the job.
