What are the responsibilities and job description for the Varsity Head Volleyball Coach position at Menomonie Area School District?
The Menomonie High School Volleyball Program is seeking an experienced, proven leader as the Varsity Head Coach. This position requires oversight of the volleyball program, development of the youth program, and acting as an ambassador for the high school. Knowledge of volleyball, the ability to motivate students, and prioritizing the best interest of Menomonie student athletes is essential to this position. The ideal candidate will have a solid volleyball background with knowledge in coaching the fundamental skills of volleyball, preferably with experience as a player and/or coach at higher levels. Additional responsibilities include oversight of all inventories and supplies, development of an annual budget, and possessing a thorough understanding of the WIAA rules and regulations.
The successful candidate will have a belief that sportsmanship is critical to the success of the program, presenting themselves as a role model in terms of appearance, character, and sportsmanship. The candidate will have the ability to effectively work and communicate with players, families, other coaches, administration and the community. Duties include pre-season, during-season, and postseason tasks. Schedule and salary will be discussed at the interview.
This position is open until filled with first review of applications to occur on March 3, 2025. This position may be hired on an interim basis for the 2025-26 school year based on overall candidate pool as well as candidate qualifications and experience. EOE.
