The Community Service Officer (CSO) position is a non-sworn position ideal for an individual who is interested in a future career in law enforcement.
Menomonie Police Department (MPD) is a progressive police department that serves Menomonie, Wisconsin. MPD consists of 30 officers and 5 non-sworn personnel and is looking for a passionate and driven person to enhance our department. We hire the best and you will work alongside an exceptional team. We all play an active role in keeping the community safe.
Salary: $17.24 hourly
Responsibilities: Duties where a sworn police officer is not needed:
Parking enforcement
Traffic control code enforcement
Community events
Misc. duties as needed
CSOs are trained as MPD clerks and will fill that position when necessary
Qualifications:
U.S. citizen
Minimum age-18
Driver license
Good driving record
Good physical condition
Ability to work in various weather conditions
High school diploma
No felony convictions
No domestic abuse convictions
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
Ability to perform essential functions of this position
