Job Summary and Qualifications
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), the PCT assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the PCTs skills / training and the needs of the Department, and consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment. The PCT complies with all hospital policies / procedures and observes the State Board of Nursing rules for unlicensed personnel.
About this unit :
Medical Surgical / Telemetry (4 North) is a 24 bed unit that takes medical surgical or telemetry monitored patients; primarily with renal, cardiac, gastrointestinal, pulmonary and general surgical diagnoses. This unit is culture driven and strives to provide exceptional patient care and a teamwork atmosphere. At MMC we pride ourselves on providing compassionate, safe, and quality care, while instilling a nursing culture where teamwork, recognition, decision-making, and driving outcomes start at the bedside. Menorah is recognized by the ANCC as a Pathway to Excellence Designated facility which represents a positive work environment where nurses can flourish.
