Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced, compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Menorah Park in Syracuse, New York. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating, assessing, and administering treatment to individuals to develop, recover and/or maintain their skills for performing daily activities. This is a full-time salaried position, and the ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' abilities to perform activities of daily living and communicate the results of the evaluation to patients, families, facility staff, Physicians and other appropriate professionals.
- Assess patients' home and work environments to identify hazards that may prevent the safe and successful performance of daily activities
- Develop individualized interventions and treatment programs that improve basic motor, sensory-integrative, and postural functions
- Provide training and education to patients and their families
- Remain current on industry developments, attend professional conventions, and participate in continuing education classes.
Requirements:
- A master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college
- Previous experience in a Healthcare/Medical setting
- A valid state license to practice Occupational Therapy
- Excellent communication, listening, problem solving and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records Systems
