Position Description – Building Healthy Families - Family Urgent Response System (FURS)
POSITION TITLE: Program Manager

SALARY RANGE: $55,000 – $60,000 Annually – Non-exempt Position
REPORTS TO: Director of Programs
Work Schedule: MHASD operates on a 40 hour work week; typical schedule is 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. However, flexibility is required due to the nature of business. Schedule may be changed as needed to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Program Overview: Building Healthy Families/FURS is a program designed to address family emergencies for youth in Foster Care or out of home care. This Family Urgent Response system is designed to address emergencies, stabilize family functioning and strengthen positive parent-child relationships. Additionally, the program is designed to identify needed resources and supports. The program has a special emphasis in methods and practices to serve families of color to improve family functioning. Mental Health America of San Diego (MHASD) is dedicated to providing services which strengthen families and improve parent child relationships.
Building Healthy Families/FURS - Program Manager Responsibilities:
· The FURS Program Manager must have experience in social work and/or community services.
· Must provide leadership, total oversight and coordination of day-to-day activities, tracking and reporting required outcomes, as per contractor’s requirements, with program objectives and milestones.
· Supervise FURS Program staff and schedule/supervise contractors and consultants.
· Accompany Crisis Case Managers in response to calls when needed.
· Lead a community work group which advises program operations.
· Direct a 24 hour/7 day week, family urgent response system.
· Develop service delivery activities and staff activities.
· Prepare reports and other required documentation.
· Organize and participate in operational meetings.
· Ensure a comprehensive evaluation plan to disseminate learnings and best practices.
· Ensure trainings are available countywide.
· Oversee presentation, outreach, and marketing of program.
Qualifications
· Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health Services, Social Work, Counseling, or Human Services preferred.
· Two years of experience coordinating/managing community programs with at-risk communities.
· Experience in preparing and developing reports.
· Organizational skills and punctuality.
· Strong experience in public speaking and offering presentations in the community.
· Detail oriented and compliance with required documentation.
· Respond to inquires related to the FURS Program in a culturally sensitive and appropriate manner.
· Computer literate: Microsoft office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
· Background check will be conducted.
· Must have current CA Diver License and current car insurance.
